Based on the pioneer role of Lebanon in the world of book industry, Beirut is to host the forum of book
industry and printing and publishing technicalities on the 13th, 14th, and 15th of May 2009. The organizers,-namely Dar Annahda Al Arabia( Beirut), Beit ELHikmah Institute
( Baghdad) with the corporation of The Arabic organization for the administrative development of the Arab Countries Council and the sponsorship of the Lebanese Ministry
of Culture- have insisted on organizing this unique event of the Arab world in Beirut, nominated as the International Capital of the Book for this year, in order to emphasize
on Beirut’s special role in book industry. The Forum refers to the book, methods of its industry in the Arab world, and to the level this industry has reached considering the
new technicalities in the domain of printing and paper industry and production stages theoretically and practically. This will be attained through the assistance of expertise
in new technical professions and participation of the most successful Lebanese organizations pioneer in this respect.

| This forum along with the accompanying workshops is considered as a complement for the forums that have taken
care of the theoretical aspects in the domain of book and publishing industries. Thus this forum will note the book printing technicalities in the Arab World, the levels this
industry have reached in comparison with the modern techniques in the scopes of paper and printing industries and the stages of book production before it reaches the consumer.

- Types of leather, plastics, cartons, glues, silver and gold used in book covering process.
